A little birdie told me to expect the official announcement for BRBS 2024 in the very near future. I, for one, am super excited and happy that we are going back to Little Switzerland. 64 days and counting!by grc0456 - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
I use the spray versions of these products in the ignition as part of my annual maintenance regimen. Sounds like they would be good for the seat belt buckle issue. Note they sell both contact cleaner and contact lubricant.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Happy Holidays and looking forward to some great Boxstering in 2024!by grc0456 - Main Forum
Stay safe to all those in the way of Idalia. Protect your loved ones and your loved Boxsters.by grc0456 - Main Forum
I guess I’ll have to keep my 2.7L then. Although mine only makes 84 or so HP/L. Still a smile maker, though!by grc0456 - Main Forum
Looks like a great trip! Too bad about your son's tranny, but glad you were able to make the best of it. Yes, the Boxster's two trunks can really swallow up a lot with careful packing.by grc0456 - Main Forum
We’ve only ever stayed in Little Switzerland so I can’t really recommend anyplace specific. Of course, Asheville will have the most options. And, I’m a big AirBnB fan. We like to bring or shop for our own food, and get places with a kitchenette. Stick with “Super Hosts” on your search criteria. As far as BRP closures, which can be an issue anytime of year, frequently check road condby grc0456 - Main Forum
All good suggestions above. There are sooo many great driving roads. I can also recommend 221 from the BRP to Blowing Rock, which is a nice place to stop for lunch as well.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Word just went out that BRBS will again be cancelled in 2023. I had heard it though the grapevine this was a possibility, but - sadly - it's now true - with the reason being the new (as yet to be announced) venue didn’t have the capacity for our event this year. Plans for a “1,000%” certain 2024 event at the new venue are expected to go out in the very near future, so keep an eye out (andby grc0456 - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

Very sad news. I didn't know Garythat well, but the few times I talked to him at BRBS I recall him making me laugh. Condolences to his family.by grc0456 - Main Forum

Blue Ridge Parkway and Little Switzerland! Our happy place. I see we aren't the only ones who have done a Blue Ridge Boxster Solo, G! The pull of that place is strong. So looking forward to 2023 BRBS.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Looks like a good list. I'd add a brake fluid flush, if you haven't done that. I believe to should be done every two years to make sure there is no water in the fluid. I also added Pedro's steel braided flexible brake lines to replace the old rubbers.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Only been up there once - in the ubiquitous Mustang convertible rental - but it was very cool. Drove by Newcombs, but didn't stop. We took the interstate out to Wrightwood, went zip lining, and drove the the length of Angeles Crest (CA 2) back to Flintridge. What a road! Would love to drive it in the Boxster!by grc0456 - Main Forum
Can't make it this year, but enjoy. I had a great time in 2017, and even git to meet Grant Larson!by grc0456 - Main Forum
Great news! Hope to see you in '22! Anxiously awaiting news on BRBS.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Sorry to hear, that, PBB! Wishing you and your family members a speedy recovery. This latest variant spreads so easily, and it seems that it is everywhere.by grc0456 - Main Forum

The black one is an ordinal car. Not sure about the exhaust. The blue 356 is a replica. Still, very beautiful.by grc0456 - Main Forum
Haha, yes I did! Actually, it was one of the first things I did after getting home from FL when I bought the car (hard to believe it’s been 6 years - 9/24/15 - since that fateful day in PedrosGarage). I think the clear Euro-spec side markers look better with the clear head and tail lights on the 986.2 facelift. Easy enough to reverse if I change my mind. Good call on the Tangerine color - yby grc0456 - Main Forum
Thanks. Yes, I know Tom T. and “Blackie” from my involvement in our PCA region. He also let me, no 356 expert, know the blue car was a replica (and a very good one).by grc0456 - Main Forum
