While lowering the top down today I heard a loud "POP" and the soft top stopped moving, but the solid part kept moving to it's normal position, I was able to move the soft top back and forth (in the tucked in position and all the way up in the locked position by hand (like a Miata ) but not with the motor. Any ideas what it could be? Cable from motor to transmission? If so how hard for a DIYby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum

I have a 2007 987 with 2.7l engine. I'm about to replace my air filter and was wondering if I should I just replace with the OEM paper type or go with the so called hi-performance synthetic or cotton/oil type filters. If I should go with synthetic or cotton/oil type filters what type and from whom? Thanksby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum

Not a problem. go to the "Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV)" web site and they tell exactly what to do and have done on your car. A simple equivalence sticker from Km to Miles is sufficient, but read all of the instructions.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum

Just for you to know that not all sites support the small differences between Explorer and Firefox and therefor the results in viewing and print can differ between IE and Firefox. I'm currently using version 3.6.16 and it's fast with no problems.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
I had the same problem, but in my case the belt was rubbing the top side of the leather seat near the head rest. If this is your case, try using a white wax candle and rub the underside of the belt. You may have to do this once or twice a year.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
