A few storms past through New England this week...gave the new Covercraft cover a nice workout. We are happy to report that it passed with flying colors. The cover kept the moisture off the car, did NOT freeze onto it, and lifted off cleanly even when crusted over. About 10" of snow of varying wetness (wet/heavy - light and fluffy) fell onto the cover over the course of 10 hours on Tuesday. Aftby RainyDayGarage - Main Forum
Here is review we did back in 2007: The watch has held up extremely well. We have upgraded the band with a clasp and is worn weekly. Well, there IS a rotation...:by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum

With regards to our second OEM silver cover, both the seam AND the fabric were sub-par. The seams came apart (which we can fix), but the material itself disintegrated...which we could not fix when the rips got too large:by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum

Exactly all that was needed when we added a used hardtop. - installed the locks (purchased from the Porsche dealer) - drove the Boxster to pick up the hardtop - brought it back and realized that some adjustment was needed - dropped it off at the dealer and they adjusted it for free.by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum

Which is why those on the left has the right of way...the driver of the car on the right is seated on the left side has a clearer view of that side and should yield if someone is coming up on his left.by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum
Navigating the rotaries in Boston is not so bad if everyone follows the rules. There is really just one thing to remember...those on the left have the right of way. On the way into Cambridge just going under the overpass coming off the BU Bridge. The clip was taken with the Blackvue dashcam mounted on the Boxster:by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum
If we had not done so, the car probably would have been "eaten" by the New England winter road salt by now :-)by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum

Saw a Tesla recharging station on a RT 95 rest stop :-) Would be nice when someone figure out how to recharge an electric vehicle as quickly as filling a car up with gas.by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum
When our crankshaft sensor went, there was also no CEL. The problem showed up only periodically at first...the car would start fine in the AM. We would run it for about 10 minutes (to get coffee), stop, and would not restart. After waiting for about 30 minutes, it would restart fine and there would not be any problems. As the restarting problem was very sporatic, we did not give it much thought.by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum
And we thought spending 30 minutes to change the Winter/Summer tires was pretty fast!!! Here is a F1 crew doing it in...well, we had to watch it a few times to see everything:by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum
There are lots of trees around for them to use to clean their claws. The top is warm in the AM, so they like to hang out on it until it gets too hot...then move on to the Vespa.by RainyDayGarage - Main Forum

Inspired by Guenter's "First Day" pics of this Boxster, we thought we would start a thread to get folks to post the earliest pic of you and your new Boxster on a roadtrip! Go dig deep in the backup drives and find them. They are in there :-) Time to remember what it was like to drive that brand new Porsche.
