Tire Rack: Revolutionizing tire buying since 1979.

Expect the best, and accept no substitute.
Not yet N-spec, but developed to be as such.
several people with P-cars like them quite a bit, even on the track. Better wear than the PS2s they say, and quite grippy.

....but

Apparently under high loads and very rough surfaces (can you say "autocross"?) they chunk badly. Two NNJR members have had Michelin buy back their SSs after such.

I have not decided if i'll try them. I've been migrating to cheaper tires like khumos, but my old PS Ribs, which used for the last 3 AX and 2 track events, are mighty nice......

If they chunk at an auto-X I'd hate to think what would happen at a DE.

I thought these were supposed to be a street tire that could handle the stresses at the track?
Its the very rough parking lots and violent AutoX maneuvers that tend to get them, or so i hear.

The overall tradwear ha risen from 220 on the PS2s to 300.

Those GT3 LCA's probably didn't hurt either.

Too bad you couldn't make WG-- a nice track despite the weather.
Lightning in a few weeks. *NM*

I have N-rated PS2s which is overkill for my driving habits. I have no need for Super Sports, which I'm sure will also be more expensive. Only reason I have the PS2s is I'm anal about using only Porsche approved parts, for everything.
