I believe the car was originally black, but didn't photograph well, and both? were rebodied 'Vettes. *NM*

The Daytona used in the early series was a clone with Vette underpinnings. Ferrari objected to the use of a fake Daytona and gave them two Testarossas but they were in black. The black cars did not show up well in the night scenes so Michael Mann repainted them white.
