Porsche has Ferrari on its mind with new model slated between the GT3 RS and 918

Porsche is looking at a 959-like car to compete directly with Ferrari. No other details except that Porsche wants to keep the 911 line maxed out at the $350k level. The 918 hovers closer to the seven-figure mark. So, the new model will compete directly with the F-car, which doesn't have much comp.

The CGT was spectacular and still they did not sell very well. Porsche just does not have the brand that can easily sell in the 300K range. It could be the average Porsche buyer income as compared to the average Ferrari buyer income, separated by nearly an order of magnitude.
