Power windows rubber trim.
dghii - Friday, 30 September, 2011, at 10:39:22 am
In the last few weeks, both of my Boxsters have exhibited the exterior rubber trim folding in when I put the windows down. It is worse in the 1998 than the 2000 but they're both doing it.

I have clayed and cleaned the windows inside and out.

What can I treat the rubber with as a lubricant that will not leave leave the windows in a mess every time I put them down?

Which trim, exactly?

Are you referring to the trim on the door or the trim on the top that the window goes into?

Those are your window scrapers and there is no way that I know of to remedy this except by replacing them.

It is not hard to do, but if someone has another solution please chime in!

Regards,

Sebastian
