Oil leak at front of engine

Any experience with an oil leak coming from the motor mount area?
The black plastic in the picture is toward the front of the car.

... just above that spot, in the center of the engine, is the crankshaft pulley which also has a seal similar to the RMS, although smaller.
It's not very common, but they can also leak.
That one, contrary to the RMS is much easier to see by removing the firewall behind the seats and then the main pulley.

... Could be material fatigue (it is a 10 year old car).
An imbalance in the crank could also cause it but the engine would vibrate most likely.
You should visually check it to make sure.

It might be worth taking a closer look to see if it is certainly coming from the front crank seal or pump cover. You might check your secondary crankcase breathing system to see for coking/clogging which might cause higher then normal internal crankcase pressures. As others have stated , if the crank is moving around due to what ever issue(vibrations-bad mounts, poor state of tune, out of balance, bearing wear, etc...) it could be the cause of the premature wear on the seal. I don't know what oil your using, but if the car is running track events, a thicker oil then the 0w-40 might be in order.
I'm away from my tools/manuals right now, but there are a number of factory tools needed to r&r the front crank seal(ie pin lock tool, etc..). The front crank seal is not nearly as bad to change out as the rear.
