Big Chill Scene Recreated/Updated
db997S - Tuesday, 18 October, 2011, at 9:21:30 am
Took a roadtrip down to Beaufort, SC, to meet up with some old college friends we've known for almost 30 years. They chose Beaufort, which is where the Big Chill was filmed back in 1982. In the beginning of the movie, at the funeral, Nick drives up in his mid- to late-70s Targa and parks at an angle at the church, which is actually not in Beaufort. My wife and I found it (thanks Internet) and snapped this shot (2009 S Cab).

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna

Thankfully, the 2009 has the glove box for roadtrips, but I do like that stash scene as the dorky Richard asks Nick if he has an oil leak, as Nick is under the front end of his Targa.
