20 minutes to fill up..

in layman's language...

so what is this strange 'flap' somewhere down the neck of the gas filler tube which has to be there apparently for the Gods of Emissions to stop all 15 gallons flooding out on the road in the event you perform a whoopsy daisy?

and what are you supposed to do when you are told by Mr. Dealer that your 'flap' ain't working properly and has jammed in almost a fully closed position, so much so that it now takes 20 minutes of looking like an idiot to fill up? has this ever happened before in the history of man, sounds totally bizarre?

and of course - wait for it - the inevitable 'several hundred dollars' will likely be required to fix it...

i feel like Alice, but not in Wonderland...

You might check, there is a TSB(technical service bulletin) on this. We had this done on our 01 base during warranty. Sometimes the vent pipe needs to be re-positioned, along with a number of other procedures if warranted. I'll see if I can dig the tsb # number up tonight in my books. Sorry to hear, I know how aggravating it can be.
