Hopefully, never. Also, more various "rays" to be constently exposed. Imagine sitting in a two-hour traffic jam with all those waves continually surrounding you from hundreds and hundreds of those devices? Not unrealistic here in DC. Was stuck in one a couple weeks ago. Two hours of stop and go traffic. Brake lights as far as you could see in front, and headlights as far back as you could see in the rear-view mirror.

interstate highway, set your destination and leave the driving to the car's computer. That my prediction, let say 25 years or sooner.

If memory serves me Top Gear had a BMW with "hands-free" driving capabilities.

It memorized the track and used GPS to navigate. Will the day come when we won't have to drive anymore? Probably , But I kinda like the idea for rush hour traffic.
