October 2011 sales were up 8.6% from a year earlier. For the calendar year 2011, sales are up 28% from the same period last year. Asia and China are leading the surge. In Oct. 2011, sales the US were actually down 16% for the month compared with a year ago. China was up 53% to 1,546 units for the month. That compares with 2,270 in the US for October. In all, Porsche is expecting 2011 to be their best year ever in terms of deliveries.
