NBC --- Looks like I need head gasket on Camaro

Car worth $2500 - maybe.

Replacement engine $1800

Parts to replace head gasket < $100. But labor is obscene. For me it would be 25-30hrs. The shop would prob take 2 full days at least.

When done, the engine is still a 150K mile engine.

Opinions??

I would say if you can't do it yourself I probably is best not to do it. What engine is in it ?

Well - it wasn't a head gasket....

It was a faceplate gasket.

A nuisance to fix, but not the same a a head gasket. Still pretty expensive....
