After 13 years with Boxsters (a 99 and an 06) I'm leaving the clan. But don't shed any tears for me. I traded in the 06 (26k miles) on a 1995 Carrera 4 (98k miles).
I drove a 1971 911T Targa for 25 years, (245k miles) and have been nostalgic for it ever since. So I figured it was time to reach back into the past. As you know the 95-98 Carreras were the last of the air cooled Porsches.
First impressions: quieter, smoother, more powerful. Love those voluptuous curves.
I'll miss top down motoring, handling like it was on rails, and some of the creature comforts. Also, the Boxster had more leg room for my 6'2" frame. But I've still got the permagrin.
