Starting car with no door
Ollie - Saturday, 25 February, 2012, at 2:50:05 pm
May sound like a stupid question but just don't want to do anything stupid.

Drivers door is off the car & I want to move the car- I know I will set off the air bag light but is there anything else that can happen?
I can't think of anything BUT...
I'll show my ignorance.

Why would you set off the air bag light? It should act just as if the door's open, i would think. It cant possibly know if the hinge is loaded.

Bottom line - i cant see an issue.

You'll get ...
Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Saturday, 25 February, 2012, at 6:42:10 pm
... The airbag light when you turn on the ignition and the ECU doesn't find the side impact airbag connected.
You may also get a radio error code (depending on the model year) and a POSIP error code as well.
All the codes are resettable.
Happy Boxstering

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar
