When the Mercedes 450 SL came out they claimed the horizontally ridged taillights would stay cleaner.

I would think, from experience with vans and wagons that the bottom (under the fin) might get dusty, snowy dirty because of the vaccuum created, but the top of the light should still remain visible. The light cluster seems to wrap around the outside of the light in a u shape.

I just don't care for the look on the light.

care for the look of the rear lights either but maybe I will change my mind when I see it in person
