There's a few folks still around!! Most check in from time to time. I was down on the Eastern Shore last week. Thought about the trips to Waterman's in Rock Hall. Had to settle for crab cakes at the Robert Morris Inn in Oxford. Such a struggle. smiling smiley

I did a search for "ESBB" today on the board and found that I missed this thread last March as I was vacationing in Prague. I am still around.I am driving a 2012 Boxster I bought last September. I am retired and have plenty of time for ESBB runs.

My Boxster in Valley Forge last fall.

I pop in from time to time. I would be interested in an ESBB run also. It used to work where we planned them on the Thursday before so we knew what the weather was going to be like. A trip to Waterman's sounds like a good idea. Now that it's summer let work on this. Maybe the weekend after father's day? And if Todd is going to be on his boat he can hook up down there if that suits him. Rich you coming down all the way from CT?

Re: Hello ESBB!!! UPDATE
Rev Dennis - Wednesday, 13 June, 2012, at 8:39:24 pm
Meet at The Burger king in Elkton at 11 AM Sun 6/24. Run down to Watermans in Rock Hall for lunch. Then whatever. Just like the old days mon! If this works please respond. You don't need a Boxster or a Porsche. Enthusiasm reigns supreme. rmimbs says he will be joining us.

I'm at a Driver's Ed event at Watkins Glen and can't make it that weekend. Kevin was talking about getting an ESBB run together at BRBS though.

Rick in MD texted me that he is hoping to make it also. We then would have 3 of the 4 original ESBBers. Cool! What ever happened to Dan Thorpe, the 4th original?

I am really looking forward to seeing you guys again.

As always newbies are welcome. You'll only feel like a newbie for about 30 seconds, we are a friendly bunch.

Hey Dennis..
Rick (Nashville, TN) - Monday, 18 June, 2012, at 1:20:11 pm
Hope you are well. I had been e-mailing Dan (in Delaware) on occasion around 2003, 2004. The last I heard is that he had accepted a new job in Charlotte NC, and had moved there shortly after taking the job. Unfortunately, I haven't heard from him since that time, but I'm sure he's doing well. He told me that the single girls in Charlotte are beautiful! Lol.. smiling smiley

Best regards,

Rick

Hey Rick, I see you are still going tom BRBS. maybe I'll make it next year.
Hi Dennis..
Rick (Nashville, TN) - Monday, 18 June, 2012, at 7:40:09 pm
Hi Dennis,

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend BRBS this year. It was an especially tough decision for me because I had attended '10' of the previous '11' BRBS events held between the years of 2000 and 2011.

This year, I had a group of software projects at work all due the same weekend as BRBS, with all the associated stress and craziness of fiscal-year-end 'project deployments', so it was just impossible for me to get away this time.

I'm hoping to visit Little Switzerland and Blowing Rock later this summer, and I'm definitely planning to attend next year's BRBS event.

Hope to see you!

Regards, -rick.

Hey Guys,

Can't make this one. I'll be driving back from the VIR club race with my Spec Boxster in the trailer sometime Sunday. The black 3.4L 986 has gone to another home. With a 2.7 in it. The engine blew (AOS went out) at Sebring in March after ten years and ~80k track miles.

Next Time.

So you are not bringing you favorite ever toy??? Really!

"I'm definitely planning to attend next year's BRBS event."

That should be the goal for all the "good old boys and gals".
Let's see if we can round them all up for next year.
I have a 2007 Shelby GT/SC now as a toy. It is my garage queen, and my most favorite toy ever so it won't be there, but I will in my 2012 Fiat 500 Lounge.
See you next year then Mon!

One note on next Sunday....6/24 - 11 Am at the Buger king in Elkton...1

It looks like we have 10 or so attendees so far. Of course if it rains that will change possibly to 0. So stay tuned. Some Porsches, Shelbys and a motorcycle will be joining us, and maybe a few others. Lurkers are welcome. You don't need a Porsche, just an interest, enthusiasm and the right attitude.

Hey Hey, I'm available Sunday for the run, let me know if it's ON. It'll be great so see everybody again. I couldn't make BRBS's this year as I had a conference in all places, Las Vegas, maybe next year.

Dan Thorpe - is in Arkansas - We talk from time to time.

Having a great driver's education event in Watkins Glen this weekend, but really disappointed I won't make it to the run. Always fun times. Enjoy the ride, the crabs and have a beer for me.

Too bad Dave. See you next time.
Great turn out.

This whole thing was already in process before the interest was expressed to make it a good old boys 10th anniversary. So sorry to have kind of spoiled that. But it was GREAT for 7 of us oldies to get together again I though. Next time just us. We had 11 cars and 20 people. A lot of newbies from another board I now check in on.

Good day. Good people. What else is there?

Oh, yeah, fun cars too.
