Re: Advise on replacing vinyl window on 2000S

HI everyone,

I have a 2000 Boxster S and the vinyl window cracked when I put it down for the 1st time this season :-(... The net is I need to replace it or get a new top with glass.

So need advice on two items

1) wife is interested in getting top with back window glass instead of the vinyl. Has anyone done this with a 2000 Boxster S? any recommendations/cost considerations?

2) any recommendations for a shop in the mid-hudson valley region of new york to do this replacement (either putting new vinyl in existing top or replacing top/glass? I live near Fishkill, NY

Good choice. I just did the glass - GAAH. Expensive, but well worth it.

I believe its called a DucToupee.

Available at Home Depot and Lowes.

I have a 2000 s, and will try and post pictures of the top I had installed last summer. I forget the brand. But other than getting used to the smaller window the glass is pretty cool. Looks nice too.
