Re: I drive an old Caddy?!

A friend just bought a 2006 Lotus Elise, and let me drive it last night. My first impression is that I'm going to need to practice yoga if I want to get in and out of the thing without further injury. SMALL, LIGHT and FUN sum it up pretty well. Did I say LIGHT? Very firm stock suspension - I drove over the reflectors separating lanes and it felt like I was running over cats (oh, how I wish)...THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. Very firm. It really felt like a go cart, including the inside styling. I jumped in my Boxster this morning and it felt so...so...so plush...and soft...and BIG.

Easy fix for that, Doug, easy fix. Almost all the impressions will apply, including the yoga maneuvers.

Trygve, if I were to ever strip my Boxster, I'd certainly remove the delicate, heavy, stylish full leather dash and replace it with a rugged, light, utilitarian basketball-finish plastic dash!
