Boxster's new friend
Ed B - Sunday, 6 May, 2012, at 9:42:56 am
My '00 Boxster S was lonesome for some one closer to his age. I promised him some upgrades and would try to find him a new friend.
His new friend arrived last Thursday. ('04, 3600 miles, never registered)

Ed, why would you have an unregistered 2004?

Previous owner kept it in his collection and drove it on dealer plates.

Very nice, Ed.
BTW, how does a 8 year old car get 3600 miles on it without being registered?
Le Mans? *NM*

Need some miles- bring it to Devens on the 20th for NER event so we can check it out. Good picture oportunity with Scruffy & Charles. Yellow, Kermit Green & White W/ red trim WOW
I bet you're feeling pretty happy too. cool smiley
The Boxster is speechless.
It's lightly optioned. Standard radio, floor mats, A/C, ceramic brakes and Xenon lights.
It's really quick. Blink and you will be going 20mph faster.

I'm in central NH. North Country Region.

Great looking GT3. I think that car is going to age quite well and be increasingly sought after in the years to come based on its engine and lack of driver aids. Congrats!
Very Nice...Be careful

GT3s are a real handful especially the older ones. It is basically a track car for the street.
I remember a few folks on the old board had them and totaled them.
They can easily get away from you as many found out the hard way. Don't know if your model year has PSM but the ones I remember being crashed did not.
Good luck and enjoy.
will it be a NH statie or a MA statie? I bet if you take a few driver's ed. courses (I hear there are a few good instuctors around) maybe you'll be able to handle this old guy's toy!

My bet is that your face is covered with a large grin!!!

Tom,
I'm well aware of it's potential. Since I'm Safety Chair for NCR-PCA and Chief Steward I'll have to be careful. I've learned a little as I've gotten older.
I'm also a PCA DE National Instructor and held an SCCA National competition license for about 10 years, racing 550A-RS and an Elva BMW Mk 8.

My wife won't let me track it, so I'm safe there. Should be great for passing slow traffic. (Person I bought it from winters in Key West and picked up a Jag XKR, 500+ hp supercharged V8, while there. The acceleration allowed him to take 3 hours off his travel time back to Vermont).
