Nice sounds like quite the event *NM*

Yesterday evening I went to the event held at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal. GCT is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world, so the setting complimented the showing of the new Boxster well. The big surprise (to me anyway) was the presence of a Carrera GT and the auction record setting 550 Spyder. If anything embodies "purity of design," that 550 does. The pristine simplicity juxtaposed with sensual curves is exhilarating. And that's just the dashboard! For you football guys and gals, Dhani Jones was there, and today he is driving the Boxster to PCNA in Atlanta. I had some technical questions and particular to the eventual delivery of my car, schedule questions, but as this was more a marketing event, there wasn't much in the way of definitive answers. I had eaten at Cipriani on the balcony in GCT, but the party's hors d'oeuvres were scrumptuous anyway.

Except that the "product specialists" hired by Porsche didn't know much about the PRODUCT. They were the same people at the NY Auto Show... ya think they'd learn something along the way.

If only I had known! I asked for one, and two days before the event, two arrived in the mail.

Minus 40 degrees... Is that Fahrenheit or Celsius?
