Yes, there is a TSB on it

2000 986S - get some flapping of the rear top driver side at highway speed - annoying noise. Looked in the Maintenance position for any kind of obvious adjustor - couldn't find one. Is this a known issue?

... the tension of the soft top by moving the screws that hold the bottom of the safety cables, on either side.
They're hard to see. Just over the little ball where the cable attaches. You may have to move the carpet a bit to see the hex.
I believe it's a 13 mm hex.
Counterclockwise tightens the tension.
Clockwise loosens the tension.

Thanks brother. Moved the driver side a full turn. HArd to say how much tension was added - will need to test at speed.

Adjustor is hex head (like any bolt) 14mm

TSB #6113 "Convertible Top Covering Noises (Flapping) Starting At Approx. 75 mph (120 kmh)"

The fix involves installing a velcro strip between the top frame and fabric. Book time is 1.6 hours. The dealer is not obligated to do it for free but it's worth asking.
