Never mind - After checking all the fuses I found a 15 amp one blown - Life is good *NM*

I just changed out the worn out drivers door lock mechanism today on my 2001 Boxster S. It took me a couple of hours to get the old one out and then much shorter to install the new one. Now the window does drop down when opening the door and stays down until it is closed. The problem is that neither window will go up or down and neither will the top. When I try to lock the car it beeps twice even though all doors and trunks are closed.

Does anyone have an idea about this? I tried disconnecting the battery and that did nothing and I have not been able to find any solutions so far in the archives or on Google.
