Rev matching?
Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Monday, 17 September, 2012, at 10:32:37 pm
For you manual lovers, what do you think of automatic rev matching on a downshift like the Nissan Z? Sounds like there may be a reason to add sport chrono if you are buying a manual.

The first paragraph says it all.

When the time comes, Sport Chrono is one option I'm still up in air about. I'd want it because of the dynamic transmission mounts and the improved throttle response. If it came with auto rev matching that couldn't be disabled, my decision would be made. $2K more to spend on gas AND I'd get to have the fun instead of the computer.

I like the idea of it, having wrestled with H&T unsuccessfully for 7 years on our 987, but agree with Guenter that having an on off switch makes sense.
simply hire someone to drive for me? Why learn to ski? Hit a tennis ball? Throw a spiral? Chip out of a difficult spot?

If i didn't want to shift I'd get PDK in a minute. faster than me. But that takes away one aspect of the sport.
