Over the next few years - will you buy a used car from the Northeast? Be very careful. Every car that gets covered by insurance should have to be certified as destroyed. And even that would not be a perfect solution. At least Florida was spared so far this year.

And it isn't just the NE where you watch out. Clever folks figure that out and ship the cars around to try and hide the tracks. Get a PPI from someone who knows how to spot flood damage.
