Friday Scan day - Porsches on touring trips
Guenter in Ontario - Friday, 2 November, 2012, at 8:58:09 am
Last weekend a group of CanAm Porsches, 3 from Ontario, 2 from PA and 1 from OH, got together for a tour of south western NY and northern PA.

Two Boxsters ready to roll from our overnight spot in Salamanca.

Topless driving was limited to the first half hour, after which it rained on and off. But it was still a great trip. Our first stop was the Ellicottville Brewing Company where we had a guided tour of making barley tea, followed by lunch and sampling.

Then we were on the road again in what seems to be becoming the NA passing lane.

With a stop at the Zippo lighter museum/factory in Bradford, PA.

...and even here we found .....Where's Porsche?

Then it was on to the Kinzua Bridge which was built in 1882 by 40 men in 94 days! At the time it was the tallest railroad bridge in the world at 301 feet. The center section was taken down by a hurricane in 2003.

Thanks to Scott for planning a great weekend.
Love that shot, love that road. Just wish I could drive it more often.
All over this country!
