making ceramic brake discs

Changed to snow tires and did my front brakes today. Got to wondering about Saw this and thought others might be interested

I'm starting to understand why those brakes are so expensive.

Oh and in case you ever get the idea that the passenger side power outlet is extra convenient for using your air compressor, let me advise you against it confused smiley

Its probably a race only disc. Until composite brakes get pretty hot, they don't brake well.

I tried them on one of my Alfas, and the first time I braked for a toll booth after sustained no-brake highway driving, the car almost veered into the next lane. I went back to normal pads as soon as I got home.

Minus 40 degrees... Is that Fahrenheit or Celsius?
