Going from GREEN to PINK coolant a good idea?

I now have a noisy water pump so instead of waiting for things to get worse I'm just going to change it, since my dealer doesn't carry the GREEN coolant anymore my tech tells me to change to the PINK coolant, what do you guys think? any issues if going PINK?

I think that'sthe newer stuff and backward compatible.

My tech is not planning to mix them, clean the whole system and add new PINK coolant, he told me he has done it several times and so far no problems smiling smiley
