303 Fabric Guard and UV resistance

I posted earlier that I contacted 303 regarding their product's UV protection abilities. I have used their product on my rag top for many years and always believed it had UV resistance properties. I believe UV is the biggest threat to deteriorating canvas than rain or other types of inclement weather. While I was really happy how my top held up after 13 years, to be fair, I cannot attribute its condition to my use of this or other protectorants.... I guess you would have to run side-by-side experiments for many years.

Thank you for contacting Gold Eagle Co. 303® High Tech Fabric Guard is mainly designed for water repellency and soil resistance. Because of this, and because it is a topical product, it inherently provides some UV protection. We cannot fully tell how much protection is provided because all fabrics have different density.
