Custom Alignment gets my vote also... *NM*

Can anyone recommend a TireRack installer in the East Bay areas of California, e.g. Berkeley or Walnut Creek, that will install tires without scratching the wheels?

I am not familiar with East Bay installers. If you want to couple the installation with a 1st rate alignment, then I'd recommend Custom Alignment in Mountain View. They did my prior set and the tires lasted longer and wore evenly. I'd bet I got an extra 5K out of them after the alignment.

That is the only indy tire/alignment shop I'd recommend.

The only place I've dealt with in the east bay at least up in the Walnut Creek area is Stead Porsche. I had my Boxster serviced there a couple of times -- which included a set of tires and I can't remember if the car got aligned or not now -- and that's where I had the Boxster's water pump replaced. Also, I bought my Cayman S there. Since it opened in 2006 though I've used Livermore Porsche for almost all my tire and other car servicing needs.
