Corvettes started as cute, became fearsome muscle cars (with questionable handling) then began a slide in performance, finish and styling with a perigee int he late 70s/early 80s.
Beginning with the C4, they became quite good performance cars, although F&F was still terrible, as was the ride.
Since then they have become better and better. Have not driven a C7 - want to, especially on a track; not sure how....I'm rally pleased with how seriously the 'vette team has taken criticism, and maintained strengths. See this (or last)? months' Porscheforus - president's column.
