What it is really saying is that higher-end cars of call types (Audis, Porsches, SUVs, big trucks, all mentioned) have much better margin than economy cars, both because they cost more and also because buyers are paying for what they want, not merely what they need. Therefore differentiation works better. Econ 101. Actualyl, 102 since in most schools 101 (semester 1) is macro and 102 is micro :-)
