You want to remove those outside rear view mirrors on your 986/996, you have removed the two screws and the mirror seems somewhat loose ! you think it must still be holding with one of those push in clips !. I will just get my trusty interior panel removal tool and gently pry it off. SNAP there goes another mirror , a victim of the third screw !!! the one hidden beneath the little piece of silver tape. How to I know about this third screw ? because we keep selling the mirrors to third screw victims . So guys you may never need to remove your mirror, but now you have been warned. Who did we sell the last one too? why a Porsche specialty shop
