This is a roofing staple picked up in my driveway a week and a half ago. It happened to my other sports car, 2008 Corvette with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. One leg of the staple punctured the right rear tire in the side of the tread near the junction with the sidewall. A couple of years ago I found out about a new tire plug method from the BMW club magazine. I had a Z3 at the time. The patented device is called Dynaplug and it's covered on their website. I purchased the kit and highly recommend it. For whatever reason, they seem to concentrate on the motorcycle market.
