The handle makes perfect sense. 
It is a fabulous area. We finally had a chance to visit Yosemite on our second attempt. Our first time was in 2009 when we took my 2006 Boxster to California, but the road through Yosemite was closed due to fires and we had to detour to the north. We finally got to see it when we toured through there in 2017. That time we had a rental.
