Anyone have problems with normal synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid?
Prestone DOT 4 - Dry Boiling pt = 478F
Motive Bleeder came in (yes Alcantera, you can borrow it when u get back from FL),
Looking to do the bleed (at least the brakes, possibly the clutch too) on the Boxster S and my Jetta (2002, can't remember if I ever did a manual brake bleed on it -
)
Was just going to use the above.
I have used it on my trackbike and motorcycle without problems.
I do not know what is in my Boxster S now. I would take it was just 'standard' DOT4, as the whole car was pretty OEM when I got it.
I don't think anything with a higher BP is available to me locally. (Kitchener/Waterloo, ON)

now, if you are asking "is it good enough" the answer is "for what".
Any and all are fine for street use. For track use i would use a very high temp fluid and change it every year or more. I use ate super 200.
For all street applications, i use Castrol LMA-GT. For street use i PREFER it to the fancy fluids because it is designed to absorb less moisture, and thus deteriorate more slowly. Its numbers are now actually good enough for novice track use too.
Just avoid DOT 3 (too low a BP) and DOT 5 (not compatible - silicone based)
