Re: First day "out of the barn"

I'm always very jealous of all of you year round boxsterers but the flip side is you all don't know the pleasure that comes from the first day out after a long winter. today was my day here in Maine and it is beyond perma-grin if that is possible.

By the way, one of my inspirations for spontaneous long distance drives was a car commercial where a guy drives from maybe New York City to a restaurant on a pier in Maine for chowder. Someone asks him if he's there for the summer and he replies, "No, lunch."

I can certainly understand... I took my mistress out for the first time a week or so ago...for a short drive. Today I took her to get her 10,000 mile check up. The dealer fixed a couple of small items... I talked to the Service Manager about a few mods I have in mind.... he gave me a few ideas that he has done... All of which do not invalidate the warranty. Anyway....She is all set and ready to go for a nice driving season!

I drove home and enjoyed the return of the Perma-Grin!
