BAD TOE-IN
wrgreener - Tuesday, 26 April, 2011, at 11:03:37 pm
hi, just replace all control arms in my o3 boxster. wishbone, trailing, tracking, tie robs, and drop links. had it aligned. shop says all parts (vertex) and install (my me) where non-damaged and correct. all specs good except rt rear toe @0.71degree (0.00-0.17degree spec.) so toe in. shop tell me that they think my "knuckle" is damaged, whacked out, or bad. any thoughts?? like, the tower could be adjusted??
If yes, then something has been damaged. Cant say what from here.

Grant
hardware replaced? That is was the alignment adjustment in the middle so to speak and not all towards one side or the other indicating a bent/damaged car?

If yes, then the new hardware installation is suspect, or the parts are the wrong parts (for an early MY car?).

Added: I also hope the shop that is doing the alignment check knows its stuff.

Sincerely,

MarcW.
