Automatic locking
Brasco - Monday, 9 May, 2011, at 7:21:23 pm
Hello is there a setting that makes doors lock automatically at 5mph?
Is my 98 Boxster equipped with that feature?
Thanks

You can ask your dealer to activate the door locks. Also, since you have a '98, the onboard computer was not standard, but the hardware and software is there. If your outside temp is not displaying, you can ask the dealer to also activate that feature. Some may not do this for you, but back in '98, mine activitated both those features at no charge. If they give you a hard time, tell them it's a safety feature as you need to know when it's below 45 degrees as that's when tire grip can drop off noticeably. Also, you don't want to drop the top below 45 degrees to spare the rear window from cracking.
