Shouldn't the squirrel have been sucked up and spit out past the rear diffuser?

I'm suspect on the video. Every squirrel I come across seems to always dart back the way it came. Many times, even after they've safely passed in front of me. They seem to have death wishes.

The first time, other motorists stopped when they saw me. One one knew how to move a snapping turtle. (those guys can move their heads and jaws VERY fast)

The second time, I moved it using the technique I learned on the first occasion. How? Pick them up (quickly) by the tail.

There's something about turtles in particular (I'm not quite sure what), that compels me to stop and help them. The second time, a tractor trailer went roaring by while I carried the guy to safety. I know their shells are strong, but I doubt they are a match for an 18 wheeler.

I try to avoid running into, or over, anything living - squirrels, birds, even snakes.

Saw all manner of dead animals along the side of the road. The most tragic was a dead dog (looked to be a chocolate lab). That was heartbreaking. Life is fragile.

A few weeks ago I "escorted" a snapper going across a street near my house. At first it was wary and turned like a tank to face me, but after a while it realized I wasn't a threat and lumbered off. It would lunge at any passing vehicle, including a school bus! I'm glad to know how to pick one up if it comes to that.
