For you Gen 2 Boxster owners with DFI..

Did a search on this forum regarding this topic and didn't find much info.

From the Cayman and Rennlist boards, there seems to be a number of people with failing HPFP's in their DFI engines, including the 997's. Reportedly, there is a Porsche TSB out to replace them. If true, I hope they have a quicker fix than BMW had.

Great, tomorrow I leave for a 400 mi (800 mi roundtrip) roadtrip. My 2009 997S with DFI has 12,000 miles on it. I hope they don't replace the HPFP since--knock on wood--it's been running fine.
claims you can check with your dealership to see if the TSB (there is supposed to be a TScool smiley applies to your car.

I think since you own a GEN 2 car you are justified in visiting your dealer's service department and asking about this. Be sure you post what you learn.

Sincerely,

MarcW.
