Help - P1128 code - 02S Range 2 Cyl 1-3
BarryL - Saturday, 16 July, 2011, at 1:12:39 am
My check engine light came on. My CanOBD2 reader gave off just a P1128 code. A year and a half ago I had a P1128 accompanied by a P1130 code which turned out to be a vacum tube. Any ideas on what this could be? I was planning to change out my AOS tommorrow.

Could be many things

Exhaust leak
Intake leak
Fuel system (pump, filter, injectors clogged)

I would start with the AOS replacement and see if the problem goes away. Intake leak is the most common cause.

Great call. I spent 6 hours on Saturday changing out the AOS following Mike Folke's step by step instructions. At times I was wondering if I had made the right DIY decision, but like other weekend mechanics on this site using a lot of patience, I got throught it successfully. Knock on wood, no check engine light 200 miles later.
