Windstop
GSymonds - Tuesday, 26 July, 2011, at 4:47:50 pm
Where can I get a left rollbar windstop for a 2000 Boxster? I had Jay Senoff's plexiglass inserts and the seat pressed against the insert which caused the windstop to depart the car at speed. The windstops never came out untill I added the plexiglass insert this summer. He just laughed and denied his product had anything to do with my lost windstop. Be warned.

If you find out, will you let me know as well? I had the same thing happen to me.

The windstop is actually the clear cente piece between the roll hoops.
The ones you want are called the wind screens.
The (left) part number is 986.561.583.00
The (right) part number is 986.561.584.00
You can order them through your dealer.
Happy Boxstering,

Through your dealer or you can try Suncoast Porsche. They sponsor (or at least used to sponsor) the board and they beat any price that I can get for a product from my local dealer.
I would suggest PB Sponsor Bert Smith Porsche...

Do the wind screens actually work? I've got the plastic center section but I swear it's actually more turbulent with it installed. The seats in my 2000 S nearly fill the roll bar hoops so I don't see how the screen would improve anything but I'm willing to buy one for the driver if you guys tell me they're worth it. My seats....
