Crummy paper has been used more and more to save material expenses. If something is hard proofed, and no allowance is made to simulate the actual production paper, colors may be bright and clean enough, but the finished product looks awful. My favorite with "graphic artists" was their incessant fitting of an image to trim, not bleed. Inevitably, precious time would be lost clone-brushing to makeby Laz - Main Forum
Check the connections to the suspension level sensors. If I correctly recall from my 986, there is one each front and rear on the driver's side. The mechanisms themselves look like small levers. It wasn't a circuit issue, but one time when my 986 was worked on, the levers weren't oriented correctly when reattached, and the lights did weird things.by Laz - Main Forum
Consider the trailing edge shape. Marcos ALFA Zagato The Hyundai also has some modern Bugatti references.by Laz - Main Forum
I know NJ has lots of lakes, especially in the northwest, but could that be Round Valley near Lebanon?by Laz - Main Forum
Zero through nine can produce a lot of interesting results. Sequential, repeating, coincidental, etc. The ancient Romans probably noticed similar phenomena, too. Happy MMXX, everyone!by Laz - Main Forum
... (no arm) was about 1600 bucks in the early 90s. SOTA made 3 turntables at the time. Now they make 6, not including variations within the models. The Cosmos with vacuum, as the Star had, now runs about 9000, and their most expensive table is over 10. Ok, inflation hasn't been factored in, but somebody is buying these things. Maybe it's affluent hipsters. There's been an analog resurgence for wby Laz - Main Forum
Your concern was also mine during the December drive from cold NY to 85º Alabama and back up into a snowstorm. Granted it was essentially one stint* of severe heat cycling, but the car suffered no slippage once I hit snow in Maryland. (Fairly new Michelin PA4s.) There was no noticeable treadwear through the roughly 2000 mile round trip. Relatively speaking, I'd rather have somewhat imprecise steby Laz - Main Forum

Also a reason to stay away from ceramic brakes. That hits five-figures for a replacement job. Cleaning brake dust is a PIA, but only costs pennies and some muskelkraft.by Laz - Main Forum
When configuring my 13 S, I prioritized performance, safety, and comfort, and the only added-cost aesthetic considerations were metallic paint and colored wheel caps.* It's fitted with heated and ventilated seats and steering wheel. Also Bi-Xenon / PDLS headlights, Torque Vectoring, and PASM. It doesn't have PCM, and I'm still on the fence as to whether it would've been a good choice for me. Theby Laz - Main Forum

• I would never slam shut either hood. Bring it down until it the hook touches the clamping mechanism, then, for the front, push between* the logo and the leading edge to fully close. At back, touch down first, then push between the type and the trailing edge to completely shut. • For supposedly having 1800 miles on the car, they get the Auto Stop-Start operation backwards. I've got to expand my vocabulary: I'm cringing because of how many times I used "loose" in my post!by Laz - Main Forum
My 01 base Boxster had Michelin Mxx3 tires. In April 2002, while driving through southern Wyoming, I hit a good-sized snow storm. The car felt a little loose in mostly loose, fresh snow and slush. I drove at about 40 in the right lane of I-80 with my blinkers on, and somehow made it out of the mountains without breaking loose. The snow had stopped by the time I got to I-15 in Utah, and actually dby Laz - Main Forum

Ben Franklin was observing an early balloon flight in France. Someone else asked something like, “What good is it?” or “Of what use is it?” Franklin, realizing that a manned balloon flight portended unimaginable possibilities replied, “Of what use is a newborn baby?” Although stealing autonomous vehicles isn’t presently an issue one shouldn’t infer it won’t be one in the future.by Laz - Main Forum
