Hey "Guenter in Ontario", My car (CS) is in the shop for some minor warranty work and the dealer gave me a 2016 Boxster S to use. My first Porsche was a Y2K Boxster S which I had for 8 yrs. The new top is a dream to operate. I dropped the top as I was leaving the dealer and have not put it up since. I'm hopeful my car is not finished till Saturday or even Monday would be better. QuoteMikenOH. What rotors/pads did you go with? Still in a test phase. Please keep in mind, bad braking habits can cause premature wear with pads and or rotors. I'm working hard to brake later & harder and trail brake thru most turns. I put titanium backing plates on both front and rears pads. I added the GT3 front fender liner air ducks which push more air to the rear of the calipers. Wheby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
I'm a little faster now with more consistent lap speeds. Only mods are pads, rotors & 18" Nitto NT05 tires. Looking at my AIM graphic charts, there is room for better speeds. Hoping you and your family have a joyful Holiday season & a happy and healthy New Year. QuoteGuenter in Ontario Thanks Gary and Pedro. ...now if I can only come close to the scepter hack that King Pedro performed during his reign.... Contrads to the new Royals..... After attending many years at BRBS in my Boxster, I purchased a 911. A few years later, I was crowned King. I pondered over the summer, winter and spring to come up with the hack. My hack was very complicated to do;by Harvey in FL - Main Forum

fly home. I will teach your car how to be properly driven on the track at Sebring. During the spring break, fly back, spend a week on the suncoast and drive home in your properly broken in trained tracked car. Your car will never forget the experience it had on the track with me. BTW: I am now an instructor with PCA at Sebring.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum

QuoteLaz It's annoying and counterproductive that the V-1 has so much falling, much of it to do with (I think) lane departure/auto-braking systems* on more and more vehicles. I received an updated version from V1 a few months ago. It's about 90% better than the older ones. Very few warnings from lane departure-braking systems.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario I am surprised that you found a big difference between the CS and CGTS if they were equipped the same and driven in Sports mode. I didn't think that 15 HP would make much of a perceived difference. I was at Sebring this past weekend in my CS. I entered the back straight about 8 to 10 car lenghts in front of a CGTS. QuoteRick J (Nashville, TN) But both cars are an absolute pleasure to drive. '00 Boxster S = U(usikaupunki) '12 Cayman R = U(usikaupunki) Regards, -Rick. Loving a CR is very easy to do with the benefit of also holding it's value. It makes a great track car. My CS was built in Osnabruck (former Karmann factory).by Harvey in FL - Main Forum
Quotegrant Hard to see everything with the front mounted camera (iPhone on dash i presume?). I use a GoPro mounted upside down next to the right side of the rear view mirror. What do you mean by "hard to see everything"? I don't need to see my heal & toe shifting as I'm like a pro driver, now with PDK in auto.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum
