Here's *my* black & tan car. What can I say other than I love these cars with a passion, and I thoroughly enjoy driving them. -Rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
And the color combo looks great, if not totally bad-a$$. So glad to hear that you're back in a Boxster. I still remember your cool Speed Yellow car at BRBS years ago! Hope you thoroughly enjoy your beautiful new car. I picked up a Cayman last year, and love it, but I kept my '00 Boxster S, and still enjoy driving it all year round. Hope to see you again sometime. You have a stunningly beautiful car. Glad your weather is allowing some November 'Boxstering', and thanks for the beautiful pic! Kind regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
Love the Agate Grey paint. It's just awesome! Regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
And the two actors had me thoroughly convinced that they in fact *were* the drivers they were portraying. Much to enjoy in this film. Regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
The 928 has the worst headlights of any of my cars; the factory fitted ones (at least for US cars) are absolutely hideous. One other topic, I wonder if the new LED headlamps finally solve the distance 'cut off' problem of Xenon lights? Thanks for your replies. -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
..about the technology behind these, the differences between these and Xenons, the advantages/disadvantages, and the nature of the improvements. Many thanks, guys. Kind regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
And all kidding aside, I wouldn't be too tough on the locals, lol. Didn't most people originally move to Maine to get away from the 'fast life' of the big cities? Regardless, you have an absolutely beautiful 981, Laz, bordering on stunning. Hope you had a thoroughly enjoyable getaway! Best regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
Mine says hello.. Looks like you had an absolutely spectacular day for the drive! Kind regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
I've heard nothing but good things about the new Cayman 981. Love the Agate Grey. It's just stunning. Congrats again. Hope you enjoy many happy years of ownership. Regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum

Make sure he/she or you take lots of photos of the damage, and make sure they're OK with the shop you end up deciding on. About a year & a half ago, I had some damage done to my '93 968 by another vehicle. I have State Farm, and they said I had to use one of their approved repair shops. And they would have liked more photos. In the end, they allowed my requested repair facility, and theyby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
It's been a while, Gary. Hope you are well. I regrettably missed the last two BRBS, and I'm looking forward to next year's event already. A visit to the Lauderdale area later this fall would be nice, too, . Enjoy that beautiful new Porsche! Best regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
Hope you enjoy many happy miles. Love the color, too. My Cayman R says hello. Best regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum

Enjoy the road trip back home and be sure to capture and document the beautiful USA scenery (and your new Porsche, lol) with lots of photos! Regards, -rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
About a year & a half ago (fall of 2011), I noticed that my headlights wouldn't come on one evening as I was heading out from home to go somewhere and could not get the headlights to activate. So, I left my '00 S home and took another car. A few days later, I took my 986S in to the local dealer who diagnosed it as a bad headlight switch. They ordered a new switch, and I got it replaced a fby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
My late wife Lynn & I attended BRBS one year (I think it was '08 or '09), and we met Jeff and his wife at dinner, and we ended up joining their 'fun run' team. Jeff had a beautiful midnight blue '08 Boxster, which I believe he later sold for another Boxster. Good guy. Not sure if he posts here anymore. Sorry for the confusion, lol.. Joanne, When I was shopping for a Cayman last year, I utilized this same search feature (mentioned by Gary) that is found on Porsche's US website, and I was able to find & check every dealership in the country for new and certified pre-owned Caymans. It was incredibly helpful. I ended up finding & buying a pre-owned CPO'd Cayman R and couldn't be happier with it. Best regards, -rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum

...and that you actually do 'bond' with them. I've been driving around in my '00S the last few days, and I can't believe how involving and satisfying this car can be. I'm really happy to hear that your car is road-worthy again, and that you're keeping it! Best regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
Can't wait to se the pics! Hope all is well. I met you at BRBS a few years ago. Best regards, -rick.by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
I sincerely hope that the yahoo behind you did the right thing, stood up like a man, and accepted full responsibility for causing the accident. I can relate to your frustration. Earlier this year, while driving my '93 968 coupe to a business luncheon, a guy in a tractor trailer decided to swerve into me on the interstate. You have to understand that I never felt a collision, I wasn't jostled,by Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
I was at the local Pcar dealer the other day having one of my litronic headlights checked. The little tab-like gauge (it resembles the measuring stick that pops out on those really old-style 'pen-like' tire pressure gauges) has somehow lodged itself of the lower rim of the headlight module. I was trying to see if the tech could 'dislodge' it, but he couldn't. Apparently, the lateral aiming abiby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
