Since the driver's ed class, it's funny how my driving has changed so much. It's much more fun now!!!! And, I do miss having the clutch (that was for Guenter) Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
But, I think I learned my lesson. This year, my flight leaves at 3:30 on Sunday, so I can't take that 2 hour detour. But, I do have to say it was a gorgeous drive. I had never driven the parkway all the way down before. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
My flight and rental car are all booked. I'm ready to go (bags are almost packed). My biggest problem is that I have to wait 68 days to leave!!!! As you remember when I was waiting for my car, I wasn't very patient ...... Putting my patience to the test again Due to my new position I couldn't get extra time off, so I can't get there until Thursday. But, I at least got the 2 days Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I just couldn't imagine. We had rain for almost 2 days last weekend. I was lost, didn't know what to do. Couldn't drive or wash the car so it stayed in the garage. No tennis, no BBQ. Thank goodness it was only 1 weekend, then went back up again. Now about 85 degrees. ....... I know we're in a drought situation, but I have to just suffer with this summer weather in winter. The thing is, sby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I've been attempting to find a flight..... GEEZ!!!! I have a choice to go through Seattle or Orlando I don't remember having this problem last year. Is Charlotte, NC the closest? I looked at Knoxville, TN and the flight times were really bad. Maybe I planned earlier last year, I don't remember. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I'm one of them. It took me awhile to get there, somehow I was upgrade to first class on the way home. That was the best, especially after I took the wrong turn and it took me 4 hours instead of 2 to get to Charlotte from Little Switzerland. Since I was on the parkway my GPS didn't work and didn't know where I was going and no maps since I was dependent on the GPS. I won't do that again!!!!by Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I just started a new job so I don't have vacation time to make the drive. I see that Andy has signed up, I think he's driving from here. ...... I really wish I could and am looking forward to the day that I do Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum

It's been in the 80s...... But now we're on "storm watch", they think we may get some rain in 2 days. We really don't know what that is anymore. It's been summer here all winter. I'm actually quite enjoying. My jacquizzi is in and just relaxing on the lake in the sunshine. We do have curves on roads here. I'm now getting a little accustomed to my new 981 after the driver's ed. I didn'tby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Install was not difficult. hardest part was getting under the seat. I had Sharky's One Touch on my 986. I was so accustomed to just pushing the buttom, it spoiled me. I got in on a group buy right away. I really like the remote on this. And you can program your windows to go up or down with it. I can just find so many things to do instead of holding the button down Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I went to get my car tech'd today for the driver's training and autocross this weekend. PCA had a list of places to go for free. There is a new place which is a 1/4 mile from my house, so I went there. They have been in business for 2 years now and I never notices them before. When I asked about them servicing my car they are very reasonably priced for oil changes. I was going to do this atby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I live in SoCal ..... I've gone a few times, including last year. I'm planning on going this year as well. It's just too much fun, not to miss .... Years ago, I visited my daughter in Alexandria, VA. Then KTS, Bobby B, and a couple others picked me up on the interstate (I had never met them before). Oh my, stores we can tell from that first meeting. ...... Last year I flew into Charlottby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Thanks .... what you are both suggesting is what I do. I don't usually use soap, only water. My top is down most of the time, and in the garage all week. Even with my first Boxster, my top looked like new. I did use the Ragg Top and no soap. This is the first time that my top has been dirty and had difficulty in cleaning it. When I used the microfiber towel with water and just wiped the toby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Just seems like alot of pressure for the top. I usually use it to clean the algae off the stone at my house. BTW, when I bought my pressure washer last year, my friends all laughed at me. They were commenting that "only Joanne would buy power tools for herself". Then the comments of the Boxster were next. Thanks Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Another girl to add to our antics Still trying to think of something for this year. I didn't do anything last year, Had my mom with me, not sure what she would have thought if I did another silly stunt. Welcome to the Board. Everyone here is very helpful and have lots of good info. I'll try to take pics soon. The owner of the company who did it wants before and after for his website. But, I was so embarrassed that I never took before shots. Not sure if he's still going to use the after pics. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I have had my prior car on the track a couple of times, but was just trying to get used to it. Have also been to a number of autocrosses to both watch and socialize. I did learn quite a bit while watching. The guys would tell me what was done right and wrong. Was able to see the consequences of different responses, which was helpful in regular driving. I think I'm going to learn quite a biby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Thanks..... I didn't try to vacuum it. That's a good idea. I'll try it today. As far as the letter, no I didn't do the tape because I don't want to see it and I don't have the patients to cut each letter on the tape. The guy who did the drywall just told me to try kitchen caulking. Said it'll fit inside the groves and it's easy to take off when I change my mind later. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Thanks Ed It's not a stain. It's very fine dust. I think I just need to be persistent Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I have a tape roller and used it. Didn't work. I think the tile sand is very smallby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I've been having some work done on my house, part of it is a garage make-over. During this time, I have not been able to keep my car in the garage, so it's been parked in my next door neighbors drive way for over 2 weeks. The major part of the construction and garage is done and I can now put my car back in the garage. My car is absolutely filthy I was finally able to wash it today. I washby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
They have the car controlled clinics 1 x a year. Autocross is every month. I've gone to a few of the autocrosses just to watch and ride along. Have also gone to other track events and ride along. I enjoy being a passenger especially when I'm with someone who knows how to drive. Very exhilarating and I know I won't drive like them. I finally decided that since I haven't been able to use veryby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
