They had to reprogram the window on the PIWIS. They don't know what caused it to fail. He then mentioned about the tinting on the window and said it could interfere with the sensor. But, the driver's side works. And, I had the windows tinted the day after delivery. And, the window would roll up to 1/2 to 3/4 of the way. With all those statements/questions, they didn't have an answer, but saby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
For some reason, I really dislike putting gas in my cars. I miss the days when there was a cute guy pumping the gas for me. But, a robot???? I'd prefer the cute guy. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum

I headed your advice and went to the dealer. Went to Newport, a different dealer. They were very nice there. The Service Manager greeted me, I showed him the problem and told him what I did. He then attempted to reset it and it still happened. He also tried a few times, then went and got a tech. Said they could fix it quick. ..... The tech tried and did a couple of things, Still didn't woby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I just started today. I pushed the button for my windows to go up. No problem with the driver's side, but passenger side only went up as long as I held the button. Tried to reset it by opening and closing the window manually a few times. It kinda helped. Now when I press the button the window will go up except for the last 2-3 inches, it just stops. If I hold the button then the window willby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Then you can teach me a few things..... actually a lot of things. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I don't deny it. I think I said that years ago Why do you think after my car was totalled last year, I had to get another Porsche. Just wasn't the same. Remember "it's the people", and it is a great, wonderful, devine car!!!! Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
It doesn't rain much here. When it does, I don't drive the Boxster. People here don't know how to drive in the rain and accidents are on every corner. I think my first Boxster saw the rain 2 times and that was because it rained after I left. It's usually dark here when it rains, haven't seen it rain with sunshine. ....... Even during the day, my lights come on when I'm in the garage with thby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Put my hair up Fasten seat belt Look at gauges (can do this while I'm doing the first 2) Get my purse and belongings in the right place Put sun glasses on (after finding them) Re-do hair (secure it better) I don't have to lower the windows because the SmartTop does that for me. Lights are now automatic, don't have to do that either Phone auto connects, so no need to connect headset So, it's juby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I had Sharky's "One Touch" in my other Boxster and I really liked it. The SmartTop is similar but adds another option. It will allow you to open and close the top without holding the button in the console. Can just press it 1 time and it goes up or down. Can also program if you want the windows up or down when you open or close the top. It also allows you to open or close the top remotely fby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Thank you Christopher Brown for installing it for me. It's great and does just what I want it to do. Well worth the money for the mod. Had a couple of problems with the install but Chris knows what he is doing and was able to solve it. After it was installed, couldn't get the remote to work the top. But that was operator error, I was holding the button (as the directions said) instead of pby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I have no idea how to answer your question. You usually answer mine. Just wanted to say "hi". Haven't seen or spoken to you in awhile. I want to get up to the Bay Area to visit my college roommate, but probably won't make it until after the holidays. My Sundays are tied up until Dec (teaching nursing for UCI). Maybe we can get a group together when I go up. BABBLERS were always a lot ofby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
No PM photo.... I remember what happened with the pic fromTBHL. It still finds it's way here at times. I'm not trusting anyone with pics, not even you Gary I'm not going to compete with Guenter...... he's too good. Since you don't want me to tell you I was in my first Boxster, I won't. But I think you know the answer. Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Believe me, I could not make this up!!!! It was a few years ago, my girl friend and I were coming home after a Halloween party. She was dressed as a salon girl, and I was a French maid. We were going through a "not so nice" area of Santa Ana when the flat occurred. Didn't want to wait for AAA. I was getting the tire out of the trunk and having a little difficulty. My skirt was very shortby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
But gotta find someone to go with me ...... Then again, if I do it may mean I can't drive as much Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
What if it continues, then Guenter will reject my car because of the PDK and then she'll feel rejected and upset Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
on my Nissan Sentra. It's great when I carry my bike. I can keep my bike on the back of the car and wrap the lock around the bike, carrier and to the spoiler. Someone actually did attempt to steal my bike at work. The straps from the bike rack were taken off my car and my bike was ajar from the rack. They couldn't take it because of the lock on the spoiler ..... I was quite pleased Joannby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Only problem is that he lives so far away from me and can't physically help me with my car Just wait until BRBS Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Can we do that???? It would be fun to get a group and drive like that. Then we can make our own music Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I'm sure glad I met Guenter at BRBS ..... You guys really "pick" on him. With all the comments I would have thought Guenter was a stodgy ole' man with no sense of humor and snooty and mean. But, I know otherwise Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
yes, traffic can be pretty bad with lots of break usage. Fortunately, I drive 18 miles to work against the heavy traffic. I just have some stop and go for about a mile. It's tolerable, but liked it better when I could just ride my bike to work. I miss the days when the Boxster group would do drives every other week. Now that it's "not summer" PCA doesn't do the drives like in the summer. Iby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
