... a lifter which is hydraulically operated. When it's cold and the oil is more viscous it's harder for it to get to every nook and cranny. Also, check the oil level. If you're not generating enough oil pressure because of low oil level the lifters can tick as well. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

Here's a better photo of Randy He had just taken his helmet off after 50 minutes of racing. His face is still red and sweaty. If you look closely at the balaclava on the helmet you can make out the name Pobst. Here is a MotorTrend image of him: I know it was him because I tech'ed his car and talked to him for a while. ... of the 48 Hours at Sebring, 2012. I got there at noon on Wednesday but had to wait for the Indy cars to finish their tests. By the way, I had NEVER experienced suck a bad track condition at Sebring as we did on Thursday. The Indy cars laid down so much soft rubber that it looked as though the track had ben black-topped on some turns. ... I was there from Wednesday and did not get the chance to go see the trucks on the Paddock. The black Boxster "Boxilla" is very fast, turning laps at 2'32" consistently. My best lap this time was 2' 44". I was running on a new compound and new PSS9s which I was trying to set up properly. Happy Boxstering Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... more and more secondary air injection failures on the older 986s. The easiest way to solve it is to reprogram the car as an RoW and then just remove the pump and it's plumbing. It's a DIY project if you can have access to a PSTII for the reprogramming. Happy Boxstering Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... you can let it hang there and nothing will happen other than the engine getting hot because of the high rpms. On my car I moved the rev limiter up from 6800 to 7100. I now generally hold 6900 - 7000 when at the track, so in essence I'm constantly over revving by 100 - 200 rpm. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... are not particularly prone to failure. A simple visual test would determine if they have failed or not. They are filled with a heavy oil-like substance that would have leaked if the mount failed. I would also check the long trailing arms which are prone to wear and tear in particular at their ball joins and can also cause a loud metallic clunk. ... Porsche sweeps the GT Class and Andy Lally does it again! Ford also sweeps the Prototypes. One of my friends finished 2nd overall. Congratulations, Enzo. Great 50th Anniversary. ... you must first remove the transmission, the clutch and the flywheel. So, when putting it back together, most people opt to put a new clutch. Some Porsche dealers have been known to retrofit the LNE bearing, but not all, so check. I would suggest having a shop that has done multiple retrofits, as it can be delicate.
