It's been great so far, Pedro. You can have all the rain you want - after Saturday. Lovin' this weather. It's rained during the best part of the day - at night so far. 65 days it is.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Hey Doug, I'm packing as much of this sunny, 80 degree weather so I can and bring it north so we can get our Boxsters out SOON.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Lloyed mats are on order. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate so I can get out the Boxster at the beginning of April and try out the mats.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Marc, Michelle and I just crossed into the US on Tuesday. Just released from detainment today. ......oh, wait - that was on a TV show. Actually, we drove across at Buffalo. We just showed our passports, were asked where we were going and were sent on our way. 60 seconds tops. It wasn't busy at all at 2PM. We cross the border 2 or 3 times a year. Worst is lineups at the border if it's a busyby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

QuoteGary in SoFL Given the method you use of guiding into your Boxster, these mats aren't going anywhere. If they don't move on me, they won't move on you, Guenter. Gary, I'm sure glad that you said "guiding" and not "shifting" into the Boxster. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm shifty.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Thanks, Pedro. I totally agree about the mats moving around being dangerous. That's why I posted. ...hmmmmm mountain driving, Why would you bring that up?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quoteboxtaboy I ended up cutting off the buckle strap from the mats, and just put Velcro under the mats to allow them to fasten just like the OEM set. Thanks, Rich. How did you like the Lloyds Mats once you had just the velcro hold them in place? Did you still have problems with them moving around? Did you like the feel of them, because they say that they are more plush and people claim that tby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
QuoteBobtesa Guenter, I don't like the way my Boxster OEM mats anchor, so I put two velcro strips on the under side of the driver's side mat with the joining velcro strips on the rubber (plastic?) piece of the carpeted area near the pedals. It works great and it is easy to remove for cleaning. I am not familiar with Lloyds mats, but my guess is that this method work with any mats. Thanks Bob.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Thanks for the reply, Rick. Is there not some sort of anchoring system with the mats? I know that my OEM mats never seem to move. My concern is with both looks and more importantly not wanting the driver's side mat interfere with the pedals.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I'm considering getting a set of Lloyds mats. For those who have Lloyds mats, how are you finding the anchoring? I recall someone saying that they're a nice mat but they tend to slide around. What's your experience?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Quotebgale (Montrose,CO) Great pics. I have been to most of those sites several times (of course I'm a lot closer than your are ) I was a little surprised you missed a picture of Snoopy and Lucy in Sedona -- great little town. We vacation there quite often (have a timeshare condo there). We usually try to go in the Spring or Fall when the temps are only in the 80's or 90's Sedona is such a scby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
QuoteBobtesa Great idea. I wonder what it would cost to ship a car from the States to Germany and back? Probably prohibitive. But, if it is not too much more than renting a Porche for 10 days, it might be worth it. Reading about Guenter's trip (again) and salivating over his pics (again), I need to reconsider going out west for a drive. Along the same lines, I have thought about having my Boby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

If the noise stopped and remains gone, it could have been a small stone / pebble that got caught between a brake pad and the rotor. When it dislodged, the noise would be gone.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I have no experience in either of the German tours, but I've also been looking at those. Not sure what route(s) you're planning from/to Wyoming and PCH. There are some places I'd highly recommend that you see. These were part of an 7K mile trip we made from Ontario to the Pacific Coast Highway a year and a half ago. I agree with you 100%. The Boxster is a GREAT road trip car. We had no problem taking all the things we needed on our 18 day trip out to California and back. We were also fortunate enough to have sunshine for all but a total of maybe 5 hours of rain. The rest was top down all the way.
